Realism is everything for Jonathan Pointer, who has both the skill and the dedication to achieve this in his chosen field, natural history illustration. A keen bird watcher, amateur wildlife photographer and walker, Jonathan studies his subjects even during leisure time. It is an interest that goes back to his formative years, exploring the water, meadows and woodlands of his native Berkshire after an early childhood spent catching scorpions and lizards in the Arabian desert. While building an enviable portfolio of illustrative work in publishing and advertising he is also becoming established as an award winning wildlife artist, exhibiting regularly both nationally and internationally.
